All–An amazingly detailed and accurate replica of the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun opened to the public Thursday in Egypt. The replica was painstakingly put together in Madrid by a Spanish history foundation, Factum Arte. The original tomb of King Tutankhamun was discovered in 1922 by British Egyptologist Howard Carter and his archaeological team.

An amazing find, the tomb, in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings, was almost completely intact. Included was the burial mask of the pharaoh, dating back more than 3,000 years.This burial mask because one of the key symbols of ancient Egypt and the tomb itself became a must-see for all visitors to Luxor. However, the weight of tourism is taking its toll on the historic site with a threat of damage hovering over the ancient tomb.
